Our Services —

Helping Children Make Sense of Their Inner World.

Children and adolescents can experience challenges in many different ways. When this happens, it can affect not only how they feel, but how the whole family functions throughout their daily routines.

At The Nest, our team provides psychological support for children, adolescents and their families in a space designed to feel welcoming and supportive.

Our services are grounded in evidence-based frameworks and delivered with warmth, creativity and a deep respect for each child’s individuality.

Sessions may incorporate evidenced based frameworks including - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Family Systems Therapy.

  • Meeting Each Child Where They Are

At The Nest, we understand that no two children are the same. Every child brings their own strengths, challenges, personality and way of engaging with the world — and their therapy should reflect that.

Our approach is individualised and child-centred, meaning therapeutic interventions are adjusted to suit each child’s strengths, needs and developmental stage. This allows sessions to feel engaging, meaningful and accessible, rather than overwhelming or rigid.

We place a strong emphasis on creating therapy that is:

    • Developmentally appropriate

    • Engaging and enjoyable

    • Flexible and responsive

    • Evidence-based

Creative tools such as play, art and sensory activities are used alongside established psychological approaches. This balance helps children feel comfortable and actively participate, while ensuring therapy remains grounded in clinical evidence based approaches.

  • You Don’t Have To Navigate This Alone

We believe meaningful change happens when children feel supported — and when parents feel informed and empowered. Alongside working directly with young people, we offer parenting guidance and support, helping caregivers better understand what’s happening beneath their child’s behaviour.

We know how overwhelming it can be when your child is struggling, and we’re here to help bring clarity and confidence by working collaboratively, providing you with practical strategies that can be carried into everyday life - beyond the therapy room.
